Starting the year strong with some amazing events in Pokémon GO this January 2025.
January 2025 looks set to be great start to the new year in Pokémon GO. We have the return of Palkia, Dialga, Deoxys and the debut of Mega Gallade. There are global challenges to unlick Fidough, several new Dynamax Pokémon and loads more.
So, what should you be looking out for in Pokémon GO in January 2025?

January 2025 will see a wide array of Pokémon GO events. Here are the dates for your calendars this month:
Mega Gallade is finally coming to Pokémon GO!

January 2025 brings several exciting Pokémon GO events. We’ve got the Pokémon GO Community Day for Sprigatitio that has the huge bonus of 3x Stardust and will debut shiny Sprigatito for the first time. We also get a second Community Day later in the month, with a yet to be announced Community Day Classic.
There is a Raid Day and a debut for Mega Gallade, a Shadow Raid Day and also the return of Fashion Week. We are getting a twist this Fashion Week, with Team Rocket hijacking the event. This takeover will bring a refresh toTeam GO Rocket Grunts,Giovanni,Sierra,ArloandCliff.
Finally, there is also the return of Global Challenges. The Fidough Fetch event could see up to 4x XP and 4x Stardust active at the same time if Trainers can work together well enough.

If Trainers want to get Fidough, they will have to work hard to complete a series of Global Challenges.
January 2025 Max Battles
January 2025 gives us moreMax Battles. These will run from all month long. The following Pokémon will be in Max Battles:

This month will also see the continuation ofMax Monday’s, a weekly event with a featured Dynamax Pokémon.

Pokémon GO January 2025 Raids
Five Star Raids
January 2025 is a great month in Pokémon GO for those of you who played the Pokémon GO Wild Area in November 2024. You can gather extra candy for both Dialga and Palkia, with both of those Pokémon returning to Raids.
In addition, Attack and Defense Form Deoxys are also returning to Pokémon GO for the first time in over a year.
Mega Raids
January 2025 Mega Raids in Pokémon GO brings back Mega Lopunny, a very useful Normal-type Mega Pokémon. We have not seen this Pokémon in the game since all the way back in April 2023, an incredibly long time. This will allow Trainers who are newer to the game to get access to a new Mega Pokémon.
Additionally, after the Mega Gallade Raid Day you’ll be able to get some extra Raids in for a week, with this debutant going into the standard Raid rotation afterwards.
Shadow Raids
Pokémon GO Shadow Raids in January 2025 will see Shadow Registeel back in Raids.
Other highlights this month
As always, there will be a range of Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours in January 2025. There isn’t anything too exciting this month, but January 28 will feature 2x Transfer candy, a great time to clear out your storage.
