This new variant of the Mouse pet will be a great addition for those who want to use Food-type pets.
If you’ve been participating in theCooking Eventfor some time, you might have received a Mochi Mouse in Grow a Garden as one of the rewards from the pig NPC, Chris P. As of writing, it’s one of the newest pets in the block, and what makes it unique is that it’s the only Food-type pet that’s not hatchable from theGourmet Egg.

Mochi Mouse in Grow a Garden traits
The Mochi Mouse is a Mythical Pet obtainable only as one of the Divine rewards from Chris P.
If you have the Mochi Mouse as one of your active pets in Grow a Garden, it provides an extra 1.7 XP per second to all active Food-type pets in your farm. Additionally, every 10 minutes or so, the Mochi Mouse can give itself at least 510 bonus XP.
This pet’s traits are similar to those of the Brown Mouse and Grey Mouse, but what sets the Mochi Mouse apart is its color variety. Each player can receive a Mochi Mouse in a random color, and in rare cases, it’s even possible to get one with multiple colors.
As already mentioned, the Mochi Mouse only affects Food-type pets, or basically the ones that you can get from the Gourmet Egg, namely the Bagel Bunny, Pancake Mole, Sushi Bear, Spaghetti Sloth, and the French Fry Ferret.

For those who don’t have this pet yet, all you need to do is keep providing larger and rarer meals that Chris P. craves. For instance, if Chris P. is craving a Donut, attempt to make it using bigger ingredients, and verify that you’re following Mythical, Divine, or Prismatic recipes for cooking it.

With larger meals, Chris P. will likely give you a bunch of rewards, and if you can make them rarer, you’ll eventually find yourself a Mochi Mouse.
Best uses for the Mochi Mouse
Based on its trait, you can utilize the Mochi Mouse to level up your Food-type pets a bit faster, although it’s not as efficient as the French Fry Ferret. Still, you can equip the Mochi Mouse together with Owl pets (if you have any) to give all of your active Food-type pets additional XP per second.
Once you get your Food-type pets to level 50, you may now give them variousmutationsto make them more useful and valuable.
Furthermore, if you have multiple Mochi Mouses, you can use some of them as a sacrifice for the Limited Shop’s Free Upgrades feature, which will allow you to add an extra slot in exchange for pets with high levels.
