How to get Operator Kills in MW2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 includes some challenges that are easier said than done. This is one that is just as easily said as it is performed. The majority of kills you will get in MW2 are Operator Kills. So, if you’re trying to unlock a certain weapon or complete a daily task, just jump into a game of multiplayer.

Use the required weapon, if it is a gun specific challenge, and play through the match with it. Any time you get a kill, it will count as an Operator Kill. This means modes like Warzone 2.0, DMZ, and Invasion aren’t the best options.

Those modes have AI enemies in them. If you take down a slew of computer-controlled opponents, it won’t count towards the kills needed. Yes, they do have player-controlled enemies, but you’re better off racking up a killstreak to get the challenge done quickly in something like Team Deathmatch or Domination.

How to tell if an enemy is another player

If you’re a diehard Warzone or DMZ player and don’t journey into MW2 multiplayer that often, or you just can’t stop playing Invasion, then you’ll have to try and get your Operator Kills in those modes. It helps to know how to differentiate a real player from a bot.

These tips will make it easy to spot an Operator that counts:

When it comes to telling if an enemy is an actual player or a bot, movement is key. Just watch how they traverse the map. If they’re moving with a purpose, you’ll know gunning them down will count as an Operator Kill.
