Hextech Chests return
“It’s clear that for many of you, Hextech Chests weren’t just a way to get stuff. They were an important part of making your time in League feel rewarding. We didn’t fully grasp how much this mattered to you, and that led us to make changes that missed the mark.” That’s how thedevelopers' update started. As a result, Riot Games will bring back the Hextech Chests to the game.
These changes start on patch 25.05, which comes out on March 5. You’ll be able to earn up to 10 Hextech Chests and Keys for each Act. The Battle Pass will be adapted, and eight Chests will be given to you by the free Battle Pass. After seasonal skins' bad feedback, they decided to replace the seasonal skin and the mystery epic or lower skin by Hextech Chests.

Seraphine buffs imminent! Here’s what to expect in the LoL patch 25.05 notes. This patch is going to be the one for the First Stand 2025 event and focus more on the professional scene.
According to Riot Games, the concept of the Battle Pass will be adapted to various playstyles. “Whether you play modes with random champion selection or free choice, whether you play a wide variety of champions or just a few, we want to support that.” As for the other two, they will be given to you by Honor, just like thecapsules and orbsused to do. Since the Honor System is still being changed, these two Hextech Chests will be made available by completing missions.
