The M4 is aCall of Dutystaple and has been in almost every Call of Duty title. It was most recently seen as the XM4 in Cold War.
It skipped the year of Vanguard but is now back in MW2. The weapon is back with a vengeance as it appears to be one of the best guns in the game.
How to unlock the M4
The M4 is the base weapon that you will start your Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2journey with.
It is a free unlock from Level 1 and is there for every single player to use in MW2 multiplayer from the off. You need not worry about going through any crazy steps to unlock it.
The best loadout for the M4 in Warzone 2
The M4 is a pretty decent option when it comes to Warzone 2. It can be a sniper support weapon or a fully-fledged assault rifle alongside an SMG.
Using this weapon in Warzone can be particularly effective on Ashika Island, where more of the gunfights you find yourself in are mid-range.

Best M4 loadout to use in MW2 multiplayer
In multiplayer, the M4 is a devastating choice. It was the first choice of competitive AR in the Call of Duty League this season but was quickly removed for being too overpowered.
It is quick, powerful and can kill in three bullets. It’s got a quick reload speed and you move real fast using it. It’s probably the best assault rifle in the game.
This is the premium M4 build that will give you the peak performance in the weapon. The gun came highly recommended by most of the pro players in the game right at the start of MW2. It’s still a favorite seven months on.
