Best players can qualify for the GT Academy finals
As promised, a demo forGrand Turismo 6is now available for PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network. Polyphony Digital has built a competition into this demo, should you be into such things.
You’ll be able to do four warm-up races using the Nissan LEAF and 370Z, plus five time trials on the Silverstone track (four sections and one run at the full track) with the latter car. Your full lap time will act as your ticket into the GT Academy, as the top 31 racers will be invited to compete at the National Finals. This aspect of the demo closes on July 28, but the rest will remain playable until the end of August.
For those of you who have given this a spin — let’s be honest, this isGran Turismo, after all — how is it? Still disappointed that Polyphony didn’t hold out for a full PlayStation 4 release?
