Evo Las Vegas 2024 kicked off on July 19 and featured a slew of activities for the fighting game community (FGC), including the chance to test out upcoming TEKKEN 8 DLC character Lidia Sobieska! A TEKKEN 8 tournament that’s a part of the TEKKEN World Tour 2024 (TWT 2024) circuit also took place at the venue. Above is the schedule for TEKKEN 8 at Evo Las Vegas 2024. The tournament went from July 19 to July 21, with Rounds 1 to 4 happening first before the Top 24, Top 8, and Top 6 events. Between these days, players got to duke it under double-elimination format for the lion’s share of the $30,000 USD prize pool.

There were a lot of notable tournament entrants as well. For example, Han “Mulgold” Jae-gyun, Jeong “Rangchu” Hyeon-ho, and Yuta “Chikurin” Take were among them. Meanwhile, Arslan “Arslan Ash” Siddique, Hoa “Anakin” Luu, and even Dominique “SonicFox” McLean jumped into the fray.
Since this TEKKEN 8 tournament is a part of the TWT 2024 circuit, points toward the global leaderboard were at stake as well. Only the best 20 players from this leaderboard plus the top-ranked player from each participating region can qualify for TWT Finals 2024.
