I think we can all agree that, with the advent of the SFIV snuggie, Capcom has gone a little out of control with theStreet Fighterbranding. And it hasn’t ended, as with the advent ofSuper Street Fighter IV, Capcom has a new round of oddly branded products to come on the market. This time it’s an HDTV (viaChip Chick).

Isn’t it lovely? I mean, I’m being a little bit facetious, but it’s really kinda funny/somewhat charming in an insane sort of way. If I had myStreet Fightersnuggie, while playingSSFIVwith my Mad CatzSSFIVTournament Edition fightstick, I think I’d want to be playing it on aSSFIV-branded TV set. Apparently coming in 22″, 32″, 42″, and 55″ LCD HDTV and 40″ and 46″ LED HDTVs,Roundtable Conceptsalso offers Marvel branding, so if that tickles your, uh,nerdy-bone, go to town. Unfortunately, the site appears to be under maintenance, so pricing is currently unavailable. Oddly, the respective branding sits on the TV for eight seconds upon turning on, which is an astronomical wait if you ask me.

When questioned, the always friendly Seth Kilian had this to say: “Some may ask ‘why?’ but I think the real question is why there are still so many home electronics that aren’t yet branded withSuper Street Fighter IV.  Frankly, this amazing TV is just making the rest of my appliances just look dumb.” Clearly someone at Capcom is a visionary.A visionary of appliances.
