During The Game Awards, Sega dropped alucid hallucination of a trailerbriefly highlighting five games allegedly in development. This includes a newJet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, and Crazy Taxi. The also tease a “and more.”

The games go by in a flash. We see aJet Set Radiothat looks pretty on point with colorful graphics and familiar city environments. Then there’s a full 3DStreets of Rage. Afterward, we see a stylish 2DShinobi. Next is a 3DGolden Axewithout a sexy panther man or centaur in sight. Finally, we get toCrazy Taxi, which seemingly highlights multiplayer.

Sega New Energy

As excited as I am for some of these announcements, a few of them look kind of off. SpecificallyStreets of RageandCrazy Taxi. What makes me worry is that Sega has previously cited a“Fortnite-style”service model, specifically referring toCrazy TaxiandJet Set Radio. Live service model, friends. Hopefully, they’ve changed their ways and we can eventually be legitimately excited to see these games return.

None of the games have a release date, but Sega says they’ll share more soon.
