New Overwatch 2 Stadium heroes are coming soon, including Zenyatta, Sigma, Junkrat, Sojourn, Winston, and Brigitte in future seasonal updates. There are also hints at Hanzo, Roadhog, and more.
Blizzard Entertainment just revealed what’s next for the Overwatch 2 Stadium game mode. Although it recently launched alongside Season 16, this game mode is already set for some major updates. This includes the addition of new heroes like Zenyatta, Sigma, Junkrat, Sojourn, Winston, and Brigitte. Here is what’s next for Overwatch 2 Stadium.
More Overwatch 2 Stadium heroes to arrive
At the time of publication, Overwatch 2 Stadium features 17 heroes. We also already know that Freja will join the game mode in the mid-season update. What’s new, however, is the reveal that Zenyatta, Sigma, and Junkrat will enter Overwatch 2 Stadium in Season 17. Meanwhile Sojourn, Winston, and Brigitte will join in Season 18!
It’s interesting to note that these seasons will get one newtank, damage, andsupporthero each. As for Season 19 and beyond, the silhouettes appear to include Baptiste, Echo, Hanzo, Doomfist, and Roadhog.
This list of heroes was revealed in the game’s latest director’s blog. According to the post, Overwatch 2 Stadium will add multiple new heroes every season. Additionally, each time a new hero is released internally, it has completely shifted the meta and the way the Overwatch 2 team approaches building teams.
With Freja as the game’s latest addition, Overwatch 2 has 43 playable characters in total. We also know thatAqua will be Hero 44while there have been hints at a mysteriousHero 45. The arrival ofZenyatta, Sigma, and Junkrat in Stadium next season means more heroes will slowly fill that game mode’s roster.
