The player is also duking it out in Street Fighter 6 for the top spot at Evo 2024.
Street Fighter 6 player Saul “MenaRD” Mena has officially joined the Red Bull Gaming team! This announcement was made during Evo Las Vegas 2024 on July 19.

MenaRD enters Red Bull Gaming
Red Bull Gaming just welcomed MenaRD to its roster during Evo Las Vegas 2024. The Street Fighter 6 competitor is now among other Red Bull Gaming players such as Shin “Leshar” Moon-sup, Adel “Big Bird” Anouche, Tsunehiro “gachikun” Kanamori, Daigo Umehara, Lin “Oil King” Li-wei, and more.
In an exclusive interview with esports.gg, MenaRD shared how much this signing means to him as a player from the Dominican Republic. He noted that it’s a dream come true and something he had once only imagined from his small PC back home.

He never thought he would get the opportunity to compete globally, let alone in the U.S. or Japan. To him, fighting against the best players and being among the best players feels almost surreal.
“It’s just something that I used to daydream all day when I was like 8 or 9 years old,” he said. “So seeing it happen now — I’m just waiting for the moment that I wake up and have to go back to school. That this is all just me dreaming. It’s incredible.”

MenaRD talks Street Fighter 6 at Evo Las Vegas 2024: “It feels unreal sometimes because I’ve always dreamt about it from my little PC back home.”
