The Destroy mechanic inMarvel Snapcan be pretty terrifying to both the opponent and even the deck’s user if they’re not careful. That said, there aren’t too many full Destroy decks in Pool 1 due to a lack of access to the betterDestroy-centric cards like Deadpool.

Now right off the bat, players have likely noticed that cards likeBlue Marvel, America Chavez, Ironheart, Sentinel, Mister Sinister, and evenSquirrel Girlaren’t centered around Destroy. That’s half the deck, so how is this even really a Destroy deck? Well, let’s individually break down why, card by card, from lowest to highest cost:
Obviously, the main characters of this deck areCarnageandWolverine, with a well-timedElektrataking third place (who isreplaced with Gambitin future Pools). Even if all three of these cards are shut down or countered, players can still sometimes eke out a win using the high-cost cards in here.
Now it’s not perfect, and there are alternative options for this Deck such as replacingBlue MarvelandAmerica ChavezwithMoon GirlandDevil Dinosaur. But, on average, this is generally the strongest a Destroy deck is going to be in the first Pool of cards available inMarvel Snap.
