Lucario may seem like a mediocre card at first glance, but that changes once you see its Fighting Coach ability.

With Fighting Coach, Lucario can amplify the damage of any Fighting-type Pokémon. What’s even more interesting is that this ability stacks with two Lucario on the field, turning Lucario into a must-have card for the most efficient Fighting-type decks in the current meta.

Here’s the high-risk, high-reward Lucario deck build in Pokémon TCG Pocket:

How to play Lucario deck in Pokémon TCG Pocket

Your win condition is to allow your Primeape to wreak havoc in the first few turns, supported by two Lucario on your Bench. As long as you set up one or two Lucario on the field, this deck should do the magic for you.

Primeape alone can deal as much as 100 damage given the condition that it already received damage from the enemy team. Each Lucario provides +20 damage to Primeape, so you can deal as much as 140 damage to the Active Pokémon.

If your Primeape gets Knocked Out, use your Marshadow to deal another 140 damage. you may go for key targets on the opposing Benched spot by using Cyrus, in case your opponent keeps on retreating their Active Pokémon.

Always keep your Lucario on the Bench, but you can use it as your Active Pokémon if you only need one more point to win.

Strong against

Lucario deck can dominate many decks that rely on Stage 2 Pokémon, particularly those that utilize Normal types and a bunch of Energies.

Since you won’t get any issues with Energy, your opponent will be in a lot of trouble if they don’t have bulky walls to protect their Basic Pokémon.

Weak against

This deck can struggle against hard-hitting decks, and if you may’t set up all your Lucario early on, Primeape and Marshadow could get overwhelmed, leaving you with little to no chance of winning the game.
