The stylish musician, 59, and actress, 35, appeared on the red carpet together while out at the 3rd Annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Wearing all black along with some futuristic shades, the “American Woman” singer complemented theBig Little Liesstar’s sleek copper brown floor-length gown as they posed for photographers.
Zoë rocked short bangs with her hair pulled back and held a black clutch to accent her polished look. Her dad, meanwhile, dressed in a tuxedo jacket worn bare over his chest and appeared to carry his own black satchel with his arm held around his daughter.

“Both my parents are people who have always marched to the beat of their drum and embraced their individuality,” she said in an interview withByrdieat the time, adding that she was also taught to listen to her body and take care of her skin.
The first-time director’s beauty routine also leans into embracing her truth. “Doing your own thing is part of what makes people so beautiful,” she explained. “When I see someone being themselves unapologetically, that always shines through everything.”
In 2020, Lenny spoke with PEOPLEabout his close relationship with his daughterand how much he adores her.
“Zoë and I have a very open dialogue,” theLet Love Ruleauthor shared. “We can talk about anything and everything.”
The rocker added how his late mother and grandfather had a very close relationship when he was growing up, to the point where he thought it was “ridiculous,” but has now grown to appreciate the similar bond with Zoë.
“They loved each other, and they valued each other,” he said. “So when I see the relationship between Zoë and myself, I see the relationship between my mother and my grandfather. It makes me very happy that we’ve elevated to that level.”

Expressing how proud he is of Zoë, whorecently got engagedto Channing Tatum according to multiple sources to PEOPLE, he says she carved her own path.
“She really did it on her own,” he said. “In school she never told people who her parents were. She would make me pick her up down the block. Some kids might’ve used it to their advantage, but it wasn’t her style.”
He added, “She’s done an amazing job. I know that my mother is very proud of her — not just her accomplishments, but her behavior, her attitudes, the way she has done what she’s done and the kind of human being that she is.”
