To redeem codes inZenless Zone Zero, you need to pause the game, select the More option, and then select the Redemption Code option. This will launch a textbox into which you can type all the codes you have for the game. The very first one I used, posted by developer miHoYo at launch, was “ZZZFREE100” which is always worth giving a go just in case it still works.
The game will tell you if a code works or not as you use it. I tested this a couple of times, and it seems pretty accurate, so trust it when it says if a code nets you a reward or not.
If it does, this should give you 300 Polychrome, 30,000 Denny, 2 Senior Investigator Logs, and 3 W-Engine Emergency Modules. But now you need to get those rewards onto your account because it doesn’t happen automatically.

To get your code rewards inZenless Zone Zero, check your Mail from the same pause menu where you accessed the Redemption Code option. This will open a new screen that should show you all the messages you have, including those with all your rewards from codes.
Follow the on-screen instructions to claim your rewards and check the rules of any events that can offer you even more. Any codes you input will instantly reward you, whereas events will only award you with items if you meet their requirements.
