Terraria’s 1.4 update has made a number of changes to enemy pathing and targeting, ultimately destroying some of the most popular AFK money farming designs. That said, fans have already come up with some new money farms forTerraria1.4, and while they are not quite as good as the designs from before Journey’s End, players can certainly use them to make some easy gold.
One thing to note is that theTerraria1.4 money farm detailed here is not entirely stable, and fans may need to check in on it occasionally to make sure everything is working as intended. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that this farming method requires a Slime Staff and Lucky Coin. While not every fan will have access to theseitems inTerraria1.4, players that were using them for the pre-Journey’s End gold farms can dust them off for this new design.

With that established, setting up thisTerraria1.4 gold farm begins by covering the Ocean floor with Mud Blocks and plantingJungle Grasson top. From there, players should make a small box that they can stand inside directly on the Ocean floor and then use a Bucket to scoop out some of the water inside. This should be done until the water level in the box is just low enough to not drown a player that is in it.
After that, the player should make a one block gap in one side of the box and then hammer the block below that gap into a slope. They should then turn the other side of the box into a slope to lead enemies that appear on that side to the gap on the other, and thisTerraria1.4gold farm design is now complete. For players that would like a visual reference for this process, that can be found in the video above.
With thisTerraria1.4 money farm built, players can then proceed to equip the Lucky Coin, use the Slime Staffsummon weaponto create some minions, and stand near the gap in the box. This will make it so that any enemy that comes near the gap is hit, giving players a steady stream of effortless gold. Then all that is left is for fans to decide what to spend all of their money on.
