The Summer Event for 2025 has arrived with a spooky theme, new characters and reruns of six costumes you might have missed out on. Check out the Patch Notes for the July 17 update of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.
Goddess of Victory: NIKKE has dropped the Patch Notes for the July 17 update, which introduces their highly anticipated Summer Event for 2025 entitled “Boom! The Ghost!” As expected it welcomes new characters as well as re-runs of swimsuit costumes from 2023 and 2024. Yes, it’s that time of year. Hopefully you saved up your Gems.
The July 17 Boom! The Ghost! update offers a new take on the summer events of the past. While last year’s Beauty Full Shot focused on beach escapades, the 2025 Summer Event has a spooky theme, as the NIKKEs find themselves aboard a mysterious ship swarming with “unidentified entities”.
This all ties into real-world activations, with the Doro Family Summer Tour kicking off on July 18 to 19, with a10-meter-tall Doro Cruise Shipin New York’s Hudson River!
NIKKE Patch Notes - July 17
The Boom! the Ghost! Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Summer Update delivers SSR Dorothy: Serendipity as well as a surprisingly new SSR for relatively unpopular Elegg.
New Character: SSR Dorothy: Serendipity
SSR Dorothy: Serendipity will fire enhanced bullets after striking her targets with her pellets consecutively. Her Burst Skill boosts her attack speed, drastically increasing her damage. In terms of her appearance Dorothy: Serendipity looks quite similar to Cinderella who was part of the2nd Year Anniversary updatein October 2024.
New character: SSR Elegg: Boom and Shock
In the theme of the Boom! The Ghost! Summer event, a new version of the Elegg unit has arrived. Elegg: Boom and Shock - now wearing a swimsuit - has three new skills all named after ghost movies; Hello Ghost, Ghostbusters and 13 Ghosts. Her weapon remains the BFG, a nod to the epicBFG9000 from the original Doom series.
In terms of her actual abilities, Elegg: Boom and Shock ATK will increase as she captures ghost, sharing that buff with her allies. Meanwhile, her Burst Skill will unleash all of her captured ghosts to deal massive damage. Much likeBready,Elegg is one of only a select few of plus sized characters, and is the first to receive a swimsuit outfit.

2023 Swimsuit Costumes for Sale
For many NIKKE players a big part of the summer updates is the chance to claim limited time swimsuit and beachwear outfits they missed out on before. Fortunately, the July 17 NIKKE Patch Notes confirm four reruns, all of which were part of the Summer Event 2023.
Be aware these items will be for sale and are not part of a Limited-Time Recruitment.
2024 Sakura: Bloom in Summer and Rosanna: Chic Ocean banners
The NIKKE July 17 Update will offer Limited Recruitment banners of Sakura: Bloom in Summer and Rosanna: Chic Ocean. Both characters were part of theBeauty Full Shot in the Summer of 2024and incredibly popular.
Costume Gacha - Rapi, Tove & Julia
No major Goddess of Victory: NIKKE summer event could happen without new costumes. The costume gacha, of course, is a sinkhole for your hard-earned cash but the rewards - as usual - are very enticing. The NIKKE Patch Notes for the July update confirm three new costumes up for grabs.
The Survival Pass and August Mission Pass will be available from July 17 to Aug. 7.
