Genshin Impact takes players on a nostalgic journey back to Mondstadt. Here’s everything you need to know about Version 5.6 livestream.
The Genshin Impact Version 5.6 Special Program, “Paralogism,” revealed new Primogem redemption codes, update details, and more. Featuring fresh Mondstadt artwork, the livestream sparked excitement among nostalgic players on X, many of whom began speculating about upcoming events in the beloved region. Characters shown include Venti, Albedo, Jean, Kaeya, the Traveler, and Paimon.
Genshin Impact version 5.6 stream primogem codes
Everyone came for the Primogem codes, and here they are. You can claim the three available codes for version 5.6 on theofficial websiteof Genshin Impact or in-game. The codes will expire on August 14, 2025, at 12:00 AM (UTC-4), so claim them immediately.
Genshin Impact announces Ifa, the veterinarian of Tlalocan

New characters
As previously teased, the newest playable characters in version 5.6 areEscoffier(five-star) andIfa(four-star). Escoffier, a renowned chef from Fontaine, brings his culinary expertise to the game, while Ifa, a skilled veterinarian from Natlan, offers her unique talents in caring for saurians. Escoffier’s quest will be available during version 5.6. you may watch a little bit of their gameplay on theofficial livestream. The first phase starts on July 14, 2025.
During the live stream, we had the opportunity to see Dahlia, the character believed to be the last one revealed from thesilhouette image. He works with Rosaria and Barbara from the Favonius Cathedral. Leaks suggest that he will arrive in version 5.7, although this information has yet to be confirmed.
New weapon
As usual, when a new character drops, a new weapon is also added to the game: their signature weapon. For Escoffier, it’s her five-star polearm called Symphonist of Scents.
New world boss
To gather Escoffier’s ascension materials, you’ll need to defeat the new boss called Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device.

This version will also feature a new weekly boss called “The Game Before the Gate”. There are two phases to defeating the chess-themed boss. You’ll meet them during the Interlude Chapter: Act IV.
Chronicled Wish comeback
If you wish for specific five-star characters that don’t have their reruns as often, you’re able to wish for them once again in the Chronicled Wish. This time, the banner features Kamisato Ayaka, Kamisato Ayato, Yoimiya, Chiori, Yae Miko, Arataki Itto, Sangonomiya Kokomia, and Kazedehara Kazuha.

Developers discussion
In thelatest Developers' Discussion, HoYoverse shared several quality-of-life improvements coming in version 5.6. The Treasure Compass will now help players locate not only chests but also Warriors' Challenges, making it easier to discover hidden rewards.
Additionally, once an area reaches a certain exploration threshold, the compass will detect even more treasures. At higher exploration levels, it will also begin pinpointing Mora chests — perfect for completionists aiming for that 100% exploration mark.
Batch deletion of map pins
As players spend more time in Genshin Impact, their maps often become cluttered with markers, many of which are easy to forget or no longer needed. In version 5.6, Travelers will be able to manage these more easily with a new feature that allows the deletion of multiple selected markers in a single click.
Markers can also be filtered by region and type for even better organization. While these are some of the most notable quality-of-life updates, you can explore all the smaller UI and player experience improvements infull here.
