Today, Sony announced that GameStop would be taking pre-orders for the two available PlayStation VRbundles. Starting tomorrow (Thursday, June 30) at7 AM Pacific, customers who’d like to secure their PlayStation VR units must do so exclusively throughGameStop’s website.
If you think you’ll be in front of a computer at that time and would like to give it a shot, here’s the link for thecore $399 VR headsetand thePS Camera/Move $499 bundle. GameStop has a spotty track record with online pre-orders, so be prepared for disappointment.
For those who don’t plan to join the madness, you might be able to score a headset at launch regardless. “If you miss out, we will have product available in retail stores nationwide at launch,” John Koller, VP of PlayStation brand marketing wrote on thePlayStation Blog earlier today.
