First look at Syfy’s new superhero series, Alphas

Last night Syfy premiere their stain new TV air up , including a first look at their new superhero drama Alphas . We ’ve get an single interview with two of the casting members , and the first ever teaser poke !

We get the chance to see a few ( very curt ) moments in an extended variant of the trailer last nighttime . It was all very brief , but we did supervise to captivate a few glimpses of the team ’s healer and leader , David Strathairn , telling his new gang of supers to chill the Hades out . Besides that , there were bare flashes of storyline . One character was getting getting “ trigger ” after his cellphone rang and he heard an odd dissonance . second later , everyone and everything ( including the front Thomas Nelson Page of newspapers ) were telling him it was “ Time To stamp out . ” Meanwhile , a female Alpha looks a copper directly in the eyes while he ’s writing her a ticket , and tell him to “ wipe out the ticket ” — which he promptly does . So seemingly one of the Alpha gifts is judgment ascendence .

When a witness is inexplicably murder in a locked elbow room at a federal courthouse , Section 8 ( under the aegis of the National Security Agency ) is put on the case . lead by Dr. Leigh Rosen , the team has but one mandatory – locate and assess the threats pose by “ alpha , ” human beings “ with heighten abilities due to differences in their mind complex body part . ” Joining Rosen in his quest are four such alphas – Gary Bell , a highly functioning autistic with an ability to serve information that touch most computer ; Bill Harken , a former FBI agent who can amp up his “ fight or flight of stairs ” reflex , giving him sinful strength for a abbreviated period of time ; Nina Theroux , a beautiful woman who can reprogram other people ’s thinker to do as she beseech ; and Rachel Myers , an orthodox Jew who can shatter glass with but a whisper . As for the courthouse murder , it ’s not long before the squad uncovers that one of their own form was responsible – Christian Hicks , a former Marine marksman with supernatural balance and aim ( he head the bullet through a breathing duct ) . After bringing him in though , they earn someone even more powerful was pulling the string … someone with a new technology that can be used to mimic one of the squad ’s giving .
