The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) Awards Show event draws near. First announced back in January, this event celebrates folks within the fighting game community (FGC) by presenting various categories of awards. Evo Awards Show 2025 also features a pre-show, announcements of world premieres, and more.

Evo Awards Show 2025
The first-ever Evo Awards show will kick off on Feb. 15 in Los Angeles, CA at 5 p.m. PT with a pre-show involving Steven “Tasty Steve” Scott and Rob “RobTV” Burney. After some interviews and the Tournament of Champions for Marvel vs Capcom 2 event, the pre-show will end with announcements about Evo 2025 tickets, hotels, guests, and game reveals. Then, 22 awards will be handed out.
“With the Evo Awards, we are thrilled to be presenting an event acknowledging the achievements of the game community now and in the years ahead,” Rick Thiher, the general manager of Evo, said. “These Awards are an opportunity for us to celebrate and inspire the passionate players, fans, publishers, and developers that make fighting games so exciting.”

Evo Awards 2025 spotlights FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves
As noted, the event will include announcements of some world premieres. One of them will involve SNK’s FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves game. There will also be an on-site demo, allowing invited guests to duke it out as various characters such as Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, Preecha, and Hotaru Futaba. For those watching the show from home, they’ll be able to check out the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves open beta starting Feb. 20.
In terms of other announcements, there will be ones from Cygames for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising plus Arc System Works for HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×IMPACT and UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes.

As for sneak previews, they will feature arcade classics such as Capcom vs. SNK 2, Project Justice, Power Stone 2, and more!
