Today at San Diego Comic - Con , Marvel Games offered a skinny look at what fan can expect from Square - Enix and Crystal Dynamic ’s Marvel ’s Avengers . Having given us a coup d’oeil at E3last month , we got to see a little more of just how this take on Earth ’s Mightiest will deal with the seeming loss of one of their own .
After about an 60 minutes babble out about Iron Man VR , Ultimate Alliance 3 and Conquest of Champions , Hall H was present about 20 transactions of gameplay , described as the prologue of the game . The Avengers are all seek to stop this monumental terrorist approach that , we find out , is being orchestrated by Taskmaster , a rogue mercenary scoundrel in the comic strip who has “ Photographic Reflexes ” that allow him chop-chop master many forms of martial arts , and even emulate some of our Hero ’ armed combat skills .
When the player eventually kill him , the Avengers realize they were being perturb . Something staggeringly bad is go down in the city and they have been defeated . Plus , in the process , Captain America was killed in a Helicarrier crash . Things then fast forrad five years where everyone now hat the Avengers.—they are blamed for the aggregated destruction and dying , and separate by the release of their ally , friend , and loss leader . Which is where the footage terminate , and the game really begin .

One matter we should mark for fans of the comics , and perhaps the most interesting affair to follow out of the footage , was the fact that prologue was also centered around a narrative by a vernal girl , who talks about meeting her Hero . That fille may or may not be the same one in short seen in the footage who is assure running around looking for her Ammi and Abu , before falling down and inhaling some mystic bluish petrol … sounding familiar yet ? Because to us , despite the fact no one at the panel actually addressed it , that vocalize an painful lot like theorigin story of Kamala Khan , better cognize to you and I as themagnificent Ms. Marvel . Her narrative comes back later too , so it seems like if this really is Kamala , she could play a very authoritative role in Avengers ’ story .
Back in the gameplay , each Avenger has their own unique office and moves as you play with them and it ’s a very “ action first , reality second ” kind of game . luck of big power moves , stacks of big explosion and energy blast . That gameplay is not just in this completely original single player campaign account either . It goes into a multiplayer mode where players can plan each of the Avengers in their own manner and customize their exponent to do fight online with , or against , friends .
