ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has announced that the ESL Pro Tour (EPT) for StarCraft 2 (SC2) will head to Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice 2024. Read on for more details about the SC2 EPT 2023/2024 season and IEM Katowice 2024 information.
ESL Pro Tour StarCraft 2: 2023/2024 season
In 2024, the SC2 EPT will continue with two additional competitions. These events will also happen live. According to the official announcement, the 2023/2024 season will feature a standalone tournament at IEM Katowice 2024 alongside an additional SC2 Masters season.
StarCraft 2 at IEM Katowice 2024
The SC2 EPT will take place in Katowice, Poland in front of a live audience. This standalone IEM Katowice 2024 competition will happen between Feb. 8 and Feb. 11. A total of 24 players will duke it out for the lion’s share of the $500,000 total prize pool. Then, the semifinalists will advance to the SC2 EPT Championship event.

SC2 EPT 2023/2024 season
The announcement also noted that the ongoing EPT 2023/24 season will continue after IEM Katowice 2024. This means four players from ESL SC2 Masters Spring 2024 will advance to the SC2 EPT Championship event.
“With an extra $50,000 in prize money up for grabs compared to previous seasons, the Spring 2024 season will see a total prize pool of $250,000,” EFG stated.
