Valve launched a letter patch to deliver hero adjustments ahead of The International 2024. Full 7.37b patch notes below!
As teams prepare for the prestigious The International 2024 (TI13), Valve quietly launched a patch today, August 15th, that adjusted some heroes and items. More than half of Dota 2 heroes are affected. Take a look at our summary and TLDR below! We have also included the full patch notes ahead.

New Dota 2 update overview: Biggest buffs and nerfs
The biggest item update in Patch 7.37b nerfs Kaya pretty significantly. Kaya’s perks no longer stack with other items that require Kaya in the recipe. For example, the Mana Regen Amplification and Spell Lifesteal Amplification do not stack if you purchase both Kaya and Meteor Hammer.
Only one neutral item is adjusted and it is the Ironwood Tree, a returning neutral item. The Plant Tree cast range massively decreases by half from 800 to 400.

Next, here is a list of the most notable hero buffs and nerfs in Patch 7.37b:
Mirana has massive buffs to her abilities among most other heroes in this update. Starstorm now deals 80% damage instead of 75% and the secondary strike’s radius is also increased from 650 to 675. Her Sacred Arrow’s Aghanim’s Scepter buff is increased by 5%. On top of that, her Level 10 Talent Tree also increases her Leap Distance from +125 to +150.

Ember Spirit sees a lot of nerfs to his spell kit. His Immolation Innate no longer gives his damage debuff the linger duration. The damage is also decreased for the higher levels. His Sleight of Fist has an increased cooldown by 1s for each level. The nerf hammer also affected Ember Spirit’s Talent Tree, nerfing his Level 10 Flame Guard Barrier Amount and Level 20 Sleight of Fist Hero Damage.

The 7.37b patch also targeted recent stars of the support category. Lately, we’ve seen Sven support trending even among the professional scene. This update nerfed his Warcry ability and increased its cooldown by 5s on each level.
Patch 7.37b also hit Tinker with plenty of nerfs on his abilities. The Repair Bots Facet reduced March of Machines' heal per second to make it weaker as Tinker’s level scales. This ability received a Mana cost nerf by 10 on each level. Valve also increased the Mana cost for Defense Matrix, making it costlier as he levels up.

Patch 7.37b: Full patch notes
This patch went live ahead of The International 2024, which is set to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark this September 4th. We have about two more weeks before the high-profile tournament begins. It’ll be interesting to see how this relatively minor patch affects the current meta.
