At E3 this year, it was announced at Microsoft’s E3 press that a newDevil May Crygame is in the works. The latest instalment of the game is titledDevil May Cry 5and it is a sequel toDevil May Cry 4, which was now released over a decade ago. At E3, the Xbox 2018 live stream gave fans a first look atbrand new gameplay footageofDevil May Cry 5and the game’s creator,Hidaeki Itsuno, explained some of the design, weapons, and characters included in the game.
Recently, it was also indicated by Itsuno, andDevil May Cry 5producers, Michiteru Okab and Matthew Walker, that they are in fact working on a playableDevil May Cry 5demo to release to the public soon. There are no further details surrounding the playable demo yet, but it is highly likely that Itsuno, Okab, and Walker are talking about a playable demo that will be brought to Gamescom that is about two months away.

The gameplay demo at E3 shows off Nero’s new weaponized cyborg arm, called Devil Breaker, that can be used to kill demons, as well as very impressive photo-realistic graphics. Dante’s new weapon seems to have shock damage, and it also extends to bring enemies closer to him for close-combat. The E3reveal traileralso shows off how these photo-realistic graphics are combined with that classicDevil May Crycharm that will hopefully create a worthy next-generation successor to the series we love so much.
As mentioned at E3, Devil May Cry will be coming toXbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. We are yet to find out whether the gameplay demo will be released on the Xbox and PlayStation online stores, or whether it will only be playable at special events, such as Gamescom, if it will be at Gamescom at all, but we are sure looking forward to being able to experienceDevil May Cry 5first hand soon.
