This is a completely different Hearthstone Tavern Brawl experience, being one of the few that is PvE, in which you fight the Dark Wanderer who has some surprises for you.

Hearthstone joined the Diablo 4 celebrations with the Dark Wanderer Hearthstone Tavern Brawl, so we are bringing you some decks and a guide on how this Tavern works. First of all, this is a PvE experience with two different layers. Let’s go over the specifics — spoiler warning!
Given that the Dark Wanderer Hearthstone Tavern Brawl is a two-stage battle, aggro is not the best strategy, so start thinking about either a combo or a greedy deck. The first stage is the Dark Wanderer, who starts with three Secrets in play and 50 Health.

The Secrets trigger at specific health breakpoints and have effects that completely change the game. Below the spoiler you can find when they proc and what they do and their illustrations on the gallery.
Once you defeat the Dark Wanderer, Diablo reveals himself, with a new deck and 150 Health. If Diablo defeats you, you should be able to start the Dark Wanderer Hearthstone Tavern Brawl on the second stage, and you’re able to switch decks there if you want.
Facing Diablo in this second stage might be rough, since the Lord of Terror has special cards that give him an advantage. Once again, we don’t want to spoil if you rather discover it for yourself, but in case you want to know, you’re able to check the gallery bellow for more details.

If you are greedy enough, you should be able to win the two stages of the Dark Wanderer Hearthstone Tavern Brawl with the Big Beast Hunter deck. But again, you’re able to defeat the Dark Wanderer and then replay it to defeat Diablo.

Extra tips
Given that the Hearthstone turn timer does not work for PvE content, this Dark Wander Tavern Brawl can be a bit exploited by APM combo decks. The OTK priest is a bit of that. The deck can perform the OTK super early and given the fact that has infinite damage, you’re able to take both opponents down in the same turn. Here’s how it works:
