In 2013 , Peter Davison , Colin Baker , and a fistful of other Doctor Who star team up up to produce one of the silliest outings Who has ever seen—“The Five(ish ) doctor Reboot , ” a half - hourparody shortabout theclassic Doctorstrying to get in on all the action of the advanced - day juggernaut that the show has become . It ’s a fun , goofy prison term , and while a follow - up is improbable , it ’s apparently not entirely out of the motion .

That ’s according toDen of Geek , which lately posted an in - depth interview with the Sixth Doctor , Colin Baker . It ’s a free - wheeling chat about religious belief , the Doctor , and the opening of reappear on the show . That conversation then , of course , turns to “ The Five(ish ) Doctors , ” an experience Baker clear still has adoring memories of .

“ That was adorable doing that , ” Baker said . “ Everyone did it for nothing . So a sequel — going back to that same well , all those tv camera people , make - up people , the locations for free — we would have to do it on a more commercial-grade base and the BBC probably would n’t countenance us do that . But , in possibility , I ’ve address to Peter [ Davison ] , Paul [ McGann ] , and Sylvester [ McCoy ] about it , and they ’re all up for it . If it pass , we ’d do it . ”

He has a good level . Creating a production like that , with multiple locations , a full cast , and TV - lineament tv camera is n’t chinchy . It ’s a marvel it happened in the first berth , to be blunt . So it would need the financial funding of a major meshing , like , oh , we do n’t know , the one that funds and airs Doctor Who . So if the BBC verbalize stake and puts that interest where its wallet is , another iteration is potential . But only if . ( A quarantine version would be a lot cheaper , but probably would n’t quite capture the delight the archetype was going for , eh ? )

The full interview with Den of Geek is well worth register for Who fan , as Baker clearly put a lot of thinking into his human relationship with the serial publication , which is now a mixture of personal account and veritable fandom . Interestingly , he even speak about one of the recent old doc cameos the show ’s had , and why he ’s not needs all that full-grown of a fan .
