Finally, a new ARAM map!

With Arcane Season 2 on the horizon, ARAM is getting some love with a themed update to the map. Say goodbye to Howling Abyss (temporarily), and say hello to the Bridge of Progress.

When does Arcane Season 2 release?

Arcane Season 2 is releasing in November 2024 after three long years of awaiting.

This is a re-skin of the single-lane ARAM map, and a direct withdrawal from the Bridge as seen in Arcane. Small details are there for you to peruse, but we’re here for the big things.

On either side of the map, the blue and purple sides have been swapped for Zaun and Piltover. The towers are themed to each of the respective areas - like the Zaun Nexus being a large vat full of Shimmer.

The Hexgates are notably gone from the Zaun side, and a vent has taken its place. Maybe players from this side will either be sent to the middle of the map Blast Cone-style or they’d have to travel underground.

According to the Arcane In-Game Preview posted by Riot Games, the map will include new gameplay mechanics but no specifics were discussed.

Whichever it is, it’s surely nice to see ARAM getting a fresh new look. The last time this happened was in 2019 during the Bilgewater Curse of the Drowned event which replaced the Howling Abyss with Butcher’s Bridge.

When will the new ARAM map go live?

The earliest the Bridge of Progress ARAM map could go live is November 6 with League of Legends patch 14.22, right beforeArcane Season 2begins airing.

More information can be expected by October 23, when the new map hits the Public Beta Environment (PBE) servers.
