The Pokémon GO 8th Anniversary Party is in full swing, including the two Timed Research quests that Trainers can work through during the event.
Of the two Timed Research quests, all Trainers will have access to one. The other is avaliable for $1.99 in the Pokémon GO Store.
The Pokémon GO 8th Anniversary Party event runs from10am on Friday, June 28 until 8pm on Wednesday, July 3.The event is jam packed, with a range of Pokémon spawns, bonuses and more throughout the five day celebration.

Pokémon GO 8th Anniversary Party: Free Timed Research tasks and rewards
This Free Timed Research will grant you a range of rewards. It has two steps, with a big variety of tasks to give you plenty to sink your teeth into across the celebration. Don’t forget, these tasks and rewards expire when the event ends to make sure to complete and claim them before then.
Here are the rewards.
Step One:
Completing this Step will earn you 8888 Stardust, an encounter with Cake Hat Pikachu and 8888 XP.

Step Two:
The second page won’t have any tasks to complete, and will skip you straight to encounters with Meltan.
Then, for “completing” this step you’ll get one final Meltan encounter.
Pokémon GO 8th Anniversary Party: Premium Timed Research tasks and rewards
For those of you willing to spend the $1.99 for the additional Paid 8th Anniversary Party Timed Research, there is one extra page of tasks for you to complete. These include a Rocket Radar and a Star Piece in their rewards. Don’t forget that Star Pieces and Lucky Eggs to apply to Timed Research rewards. So, consider using an Egg before claiming the reward for completion.
Here are the tasks and rewards.
Step one
These tasks are the same as the Free Timed Research, so don’t worry about extra work.
Completing these will get you a Meltan encounter, 1x Super Incubator and a hefty 88888 XP.
