There are three editions of Dune: Awakening, but what are the differences between them?

Dune: Awakening fully launches in early June, and you may pre-order three separate editions that all come with a variety of in-game items. Of course, each edition also costs a different amount, so you need to decide if spending a little extra money is worth what you’re receiving in return.

To help you make your decision, we’re going to list off the differences between all three editions of Dune: Awakening so you can clearly see what your money gets you. We’ll also offer a recommendation for which edition gets you the most bang for your buck.

All Editions of Dune: Awakening and their differences

As we previously mentioned, there are three editions that you can currently buy for Dune: Awakening. They are the Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions. Right now, you can visit theSteam pagefor the game to pre-order one of the three editions. You’ll also be able to pre-order the editions onPlayStation and Xbox whenever those versions of the game are released.

Below, you can see what each edition comes with and how much it will cost you to buy:

Deluxe Edition of Dune: Awakening ($70)

Ultimate Edition of Dune: Awakening ($90)

As you can see, the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game offer the most in-game items, but they also cost up to $40 more than the Standard Edition. The biggest boon of the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, though, is thefive days of early access that both editions come with. If you pre-order either edition, you can start playing Dune: Awakening on June 5 instead of June 10, which is when everyone else gets access.

Naturally, if you’ve played the beta test for the MMO and loved what you saw, getting five days of early access plus a plethora of in-game items is likely worth the extra money for you. I personally would recommend the Deluxe Edition, as you’re still getting the Season Pass and some in-game cosmetics for $70, which is the normal price of a game nowadays. However, if you’re a true Dune diehard and you want the complete experience, then the Ultimate Edition does come with some great bonuses.

On the flip side, if you’re new to MMOs or the Dune franchise as a whole, you probably want to stick with the Standard Edition. This offers the least amount of risk for you in case you end up not liking the game. Still, the choice is ultimately up to you and whatever your personal feelings are about the editions and what they offer.
